Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 15 May 2026
These terms are a contract between you and ProveExperience. By signing up for an account, purchasing a level, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
Who we are
ProveExperience is operated by ProveExperience.com, registered at PO BOX 56723. References to "we", "us", or "ProveExperience" mean that entity. References to "you" mean you, the account holder.
For legal notices, write to legal@proveexperience.com. For privacy questions, see the Privacy Policy.
About the service
ProveExperience lets you complete structured technical levels and have your years of experience verified, so that we can confirm that verification to employers, recruiters, or other third parties on your behalf when they contact us. Levels and lab tasks may change over time as the curriculum evolves.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to register.
- You must provide accurate information (name, date of birth, country of residence, email). The accuracy of that information is what your verification is based on.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure. We never ask for it. Tell us at once if you suspect your account has been compromised.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts may be suspended.
Levels, lab submissions, and verification
- The work you submit at each level must be your own. Plagiarising, sharing answers, or paying someone else to complete a level voids your verification for that level and may result in account suspension.
- You grant us a limited licence to store, review, and reference your submissions for the purpose of operating the service and producing your verification. We do not publish your submissions or use them for training third-party AI models.
- We may take a reasonable time to review each submission. We aim for fast turnaround but do not guarantee a specific SLA at this tier of service.
Payments
- Level access is sold per level. Prices are shown before checkout and may change over time, but the price you paid is the price for the level you bought.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see them.
- Purchases are non-refundable once you have started a level (submitted the first lab task), except where required by your local consumer-protection law. Before that point, request a refund via the Contact form and we will process it within 14 days.
- We keep payment records for the periods required by tax law (see the Privacy Policy for details).
Verification and retention
When you complete a level and we verify your years of experience, we keep a record of that verification and the underlying lab submissions so that we can confirm them to employers or other third parties who contact us. That confirmation is the value you signed up for.
We retain verification records and the underlying lab submissions for up to 7 years from the date of verification, subject to ProveExperience continuing to operate the service.
- If ProveExperience ceases to operate the service (whether by our choice, business closure, or otherwise), we may need to delete verification records before the 7-year period ends. In that situation, we will give you at least 30 days' notice via the email address on your account and a chance to download your own verification record before deletion.
- 7 years is the maximum we keep them. You can ask us to delete your verification record sooner by emailing privacy@proveexperience.com. If you do, we will not be able to confirm your years-of-experience claim to anyone — including yourself — after that point.
- Deleting your account also deletes your verification record (with a 30-day clean-shutdown buffer per the Privacy Policy).
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to break any law or third-party right.
- Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringes intellectual-property rights, or contains malware.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from the service in bulk without our prior written consent.
- Resell, white-label, or commercially redistribute access to your account.
- Attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, authentication, or verification logic.
- Use the service to impersonate another person, including registering with someone else's name or date of birth.
Service availability
We aim to keep the service running but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may take the service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or emergencies. We do not offer a contractual uptime SLA at the current pricing tier.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability we cannot lawfully limit (for example, liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence). Subject to that:
- We are not liable for loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss, even if such loss was foreseeable.
- Our total aggregate liability arising under or in connection with these terms (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) is capped at the total fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100 / USD 100 if that is higher.
- You're responsible for backing up information that matters to you (such as your downloaded verification record).
Suspension and termination
- We can suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms (acceptable-use violations, plagiarism, fraud, repeated chargebacks). We'll usually warn you first unless the breach is serious or repeated.
- You can close your account at any time. Closing your account deletes your verification record per the retention clause above.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (payment, liability, governing law, retention of records we are required to keep) survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The version number and last-updated date at the top of this page indicate when. For material changes, we will email registered users and require you to accept the new version on your next sign-in — that re-acceptance gate is built into the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed before launch]. Nothing here prevents you from relying on consumer-protection rights that apply in your country of residence.
